To create a WeChalet listing, you first need to implement your pricing strategy in the Pricing menu of your property. Note that you can also manually set prices for specific dates or block and unblock dates in your calendar menu.
To set your general pricing strategy, follow these steps:
How to set the base price of my listing?
As a host, you can set a base price of your property in the Pricing menu of your listing:
Log in to your WeChalet account.
Go on Host Mode then under the Management - Listing menu, click on Edit at the bottom of the photo of your listing.
Go on the Pricing menu and scroll to the Base Price section to set the base price per night for your property.
Click on Save.
How to set the weekend price of my listing?
The weekend pricing section is a specific nightly rate that will replace your base price for every Friday and Saturday. To implement it, follow the steps above and go to the Weekend Pricing section and enter your weekend nightly rate.
Click on Save to save your changes.
How to set the cleaning fee for my listing?
A cleaning fee can be added to the total of every reservation. To do so, follow the steps above and go to the Cleaning fee section to enter your charges.
Click on Save to save your changes.
How to set the security deposit?
All payments, including security deposits, should always be made through WeChalet. If you charge such a deposit, in case of damages, your guests will be responsible for up to this amount. To do so, follow the steps above and go to the Security Deposit section to enter your amount.
Click on Save to save your changes.
How to set an extra guest fee?
An extra guest fee can be added on top of your pricing to charge an extra fee over a certain number of guests. To do so, follow the steps above and go to the Extra guest fee section to add such charges:
Select the number of guests after which the extra guest fee will apply.
Enter the extra fee you want to charge per extra guest per night.
Click on Save.
How to set a special service fee?
You can charge extra fees for special services like pet fees, kayak rentals, breakfasts, a maid, or even for a bottle of wine. To do so, follow the steps above and go to the Special Service Fee to add such charges:
Name the special service you offer.
Set the price for this service.
Set how is this fee charged. (Single fee, per night, per guest, per night per guest)
Click on Add Service.
Click Save.
How to set weekly & monthly discounts?
To encourage longer bookings, you should offer a discount for weekly and monthly stays. Note that most guests looking to stay longer than a week usually book listings with discount of over 15%. And most guests looking to stay longer than a month usually book listings with a discount of over 50%. To do so, follow the steps above and go to the Weekly & monthly discount to set such rebates.
