🛠️ Edit a Booking Request or Send a Special Offer

How to edit a booking request on WeChalet or send a personalized special offer to a guest

❗Important

At this time, only booking requests (i.e., pending reservations) can be edited.
A confirmed booking cannot be modified directly.
If a reservation has already been confirmed, you must cancel it and create a new one with the correct details.


⚠️ This feature is mainly useful for sending special offers or adjusting key details before the guest confirms (e.g., dates, number of guests, add-ons, fees, etc.).

🔄 Your listing prices and availability must always be up to date in your calendar.
This helps to:

  • Ensure a great guest experience

  • Prevent booking errors

  • And most importantly, maintain strong visibility on the platform

Our algorithm prioritizes listings that are up to date and convert well.
👉 Keeping your prices and availability updated increases your chances of showing up in travelers’ search results.


✅ Steps to Edit a Booking Request or Send an Offer

  1. Log into your WeChalet Host Portal.

  2. Go to the Messages section where you’ll see incoming booking requests.
    Reminder: While in Host mode, an icon allows you to switch to Guest mode if needed.

  1. Click on the booking request you want to edit.

  2. Click the Edit button.

You can now adjust the following:

  • Stay dates

  • Number of guests

  • Additional services

  • Cancellation policy

  • Nightly rates

  • Cleaning fee

A section labeled New value will display the updated amounts.

  1. Click Review to review the updated booking summary.

You will see:

  • The amount you’ll receive as the host

  • The total amount the guest will pay

  1. Add a personalized message to the guest (optional).

  2. Click Update and Invite to Book.

✅ You’ll then receive confirmation that the offer was sent to the guest.
They will be able to confirm and pay for the modified reservation.
