You always have the option to require a security deposit for your WeChalet reservations. If you do that, you can determine the security deposit amount in the pricing section of your listing.

How does it work?

WeChalet guests will be shown the amount of your security deposit on your listing and in your pricing section when they’re booking the reservation.

At the moment of the reservation, the full amount of the security deposit will be charged on the guest’s payment method.

The security deposit will be automatically remitted to the guest 7 days after the checkout.

How to collect a security deposit?

If you need to report a claim, you need to contact us at support@wechalet.com within 7 days of check-out.

Make sure to send us:

  • All documentation details about the damages and associated costs to fix the damages.

  • Photos of the damages.

  • Descriptions, age, and price of items to replace.

  • Professional invoices & estimates of the repairs to be done.

  • Proof of past communications with your guest about the damages.

We always recommend that you contact the guest prior to making the claim to let them know that you intend to collect partially or fully their deposit.

How to handle security deposit payments?

All security deposits must be handled through the WeChalet website. They can't be handled in cash or through any other off-site payment method because this is a violation of our Terms and Conditions.
