Yes, WeChalet collects the sales taxes (GST & PST) on all its reservations in Quebec and for all its hosts.

Since July 1st, 2022, all transactional web platforms operating in the tourism industry in Quebec and Canada have been mandated by Revenu Québec & the Federal Government to collect all sales tax.

Travelers who book WeChalet accommodations located in La Belle Province pay the following sales taxes as part of their reservation:

  • the goods and services tax (GST), which is calculated at a rate of 5% on the selling price;

  • the Québec sales tax (QST), which is calculated at a rate of 9.975% on the selling price excluding the GST.
