Important Details to Know About the Hostaway Integration

The integration between Hostaway and WeChalet is managed through the Partner Channel in Hostaway.

📥 Receiving Reservations

When you receive a booking from WeChalet, the source will appear as Partner Channel.

Please make sure your automated messaging is also enabled for this channel.

If you have other platforms connected through the Partner Channel, you can identify the source of each reservation in the Custom Fields section.

🔢 Reservation Details

The first part of the Reservation ID corresponds to the WeChalet reservation number.

You can view payment information under "Voices & Charges" in Hostaway.

⚙️ Reservation Behavior

Once connected to WeChalet through Hostaway, your default booking preference becomes Instant Booking.

However, guests may still send inquiries (shown as status: “Inquiry”).

🔴 Important:

Do not manually change the reservation status within Hostaway.

Doing so may block the calendar and prevent the guest from completing their booking.

If you’re comfortable with the request, simply reply to the guest within the Hostaway messaging system and let them know they can complete the reservation by clicking "Book" on their end and finalizing the payment.

Once the payment is completed, the reservation status will update automatically, and the dates will be blocked both in Hostaway and WeChalet.

✅ There is no need to go back into WeChalet to click “Invite to Book.”

📅 Stay Restrictions

Currently, WeChalet does not yet support check-in/check-out restrictions by day of the week.

This feature will be available soon.

In the meantime, the only available restriction can be set under Booking> Minimum Stay, where you can require a minimum stay covering Friday and Saturday, preventing check-ins or check-outs on Saturdays.

🛌 Minimum Stay Rules from Hostaway

Your minimum stay rules set in Hostaway are pushed to WeChalet and can be viewed at the bottom of the Calendar tab in WeChalet.

However, the systems are not fully compatible, so we recommend reviewing your minimum stay settings directly on WeChalet to ensure they meet your requirements.
