The security deposit is the amount you ask for as a guarantee to travellers in case of damage to your property during their stay. To add a security deposit to your listing:

1. Log in to your WeChalet account.

2. Go to "Hosting" and click on "Edit" at the bottom of the photo of your listing.

3. Then click on the "Pricing" menu and scroll down to "Security Deposit".

4. Enter the amount of the deposit under "Security Deposit" and click on "Save / Next".

In the case of damage at the end of the travellers' stay, you have a maximum of 48 hours after the guest's departure to request a deduction from the security deposit. For more information on how security deposits work on WeChalet, please click here.
